Microsoft Word 2003

From time to time, there are a lot of big software companies coming out such as Reuters, Sun, Symantec, Oracle, NECTEC and so on, which develop various kinds of computer software. However, the most famous companies in the world that everyone knows is still the “Microsoft Company,” which owns the popular software program called “Microsoft Word 2003.” Microsoft Word 2003 is a useful program which acts as a helper tool to help the users do their work a lot easier. Although some people might not prefer Microsoft Word 2003, many people still love to use it and I think that is because of its design, its features and its usability.

Since the design of Microsoft Word 2003 can be said to be auser-familiar design, so it is quite simple, easy to use and suitable not only for the one who have already used to it but also for the one who have just started using it. Also, the program can be divided into three main parts which are the top part, the middle part and the bottom part. For the first part of the program, which is the top part, Microsoft Word 2003 provide the users a tool bar which consists of many small icon tools which are arranged from left to right that looks like a train’s bogie. Furthermore, like most programs, there is a menu bar including file, edit, view, insert, format, tools, table, window and help which, for each menu, provide different functions for the users. Next, is the largest part, which is the middle part. This part is very obvious because when you open the program, you will see a big blank white rectangle which seems like a white canvas, but in fact it is a work space for the users to perform their work!!! After the middle part, it is the time to move to the last part of the program which is the bottom part. In the bottom part, it is just show the users about their working status, for instance, it will display “Page 1 sec1 1/2,” this means that you are now working on page one out of two. As I described to you, the design of Microsoft Word is very normal and not too complex for the users to try to use it.

The second thing that might make many people choose Microsoft Word 2003 is because of its interesting features. Microsoft Word 2003 has a number of useful features which provide for the users. One gripping feature is that the program would be like your teacher who keeps checking your work. For example, if you mistyped some words such as 'studetn' instead of 'student' or 'teachre' instead of 'teacher', the program will correct them for you. Moreover, even if you have done something wrong with your sentence by not noticing it, suppose, you may forget to have a space between words, the program will show you a red underline under that wrong sentence. How helpful it is!!! Another juicy feature that I think is such a great one is that the program can be an electronic dictionary for you. How??? This is very easy, what you have to do is just highlight the word that you do not know the meaning of and then click on the small dictionary icon at the top part of the program to search for the meaning of that word. The other excellent feature of Microsoft Word, in my view, is that its ability to recover your work. Consider this situation, if there are some accidents like your computer runs out of battery, and shuts itself down, and worse than that, you still have not saved your work yet!!! Now, what will you do? Do not panic because the program can recover your work. Accordingly, these are some interesting features that Microsoft Word 2003 provides the users to help them to do your work more efficiently.

The last thing that I would like to mention about Microsoft word 2003 is its usablility. It is possible for you to use Microsoft Word 2003 in both writing your report and downloading your pictures like if you want to write a report by including some pictures on that page, for sure, you can do that. Also, the program itself is not too complicated for you to try to understand them or it is not too hard for you to apprehend the way it works. In addition, no matter what kind of operating system you are using on your computer, you will still be able to install Microsoft Word 2003 on it. For example, you use Windows, but your friend uses Mac, you both can still install Microsoft Word. As you can see, the program does not require any additional details from the users who want to use it, how easy it is to use!!!

In conclusion, Microsoft Word 2003 is a useful software which is provided to help the users to do their jobs easier by not wasting too much time. Most people can get used to Microsoft Word 2003 in a very short amount of time because of its user-friendly design and its great features. Also, you can use Microsoft Word 2003 to perform many kinds of works not just for writing a report. Microsoft Word 2003 is very convenient in education and business although not all of the people prefer to use it. Microsoft Word 2003 might not be a perfect software to use in some cases, anyway, it is still a good software in many cases. Just try it yourself!!!
